Weekly Round Up – WC 8th June 2020

Posted on 15th June 2020

Hi Everyone,

We have had another lovely week over on our Facebook page with lots of activities shared. We started off the week with some ice sensory play – our little explorers were excavating dinosaurs and exploring colour. We had an update from the ducklings we have been watching, Daphne and Delilah,  and this week we saw their first swim, and their improved swimming skills a week later! Later in the week we had another story, this time it was ‘Cave Baby’ by Julia Donaldson and then we finished the week some sensory play and how to bake some yummy cookies.

This week we have also been able to provide some of our activities via zoom, the activities were really successful and lots of fun! Sammy and Pam were joined by our Forest Friends members on Monday where we caught up on our weeks events and played a fun game provided by one of our members. Kez ran our performing arts session on Wednesday talking about emotions through lock down. On Friday, Jane ran our music sessions where there was lots of singing and playing musical instruments, both using traditional instruments or items found around the home to make their own e.g. pots and spoons. They also had a dance together, where they used colourful scarves and materials within their dance.
