Volunteers

Find out how to Volunteer with Forest Pulse.

What is volunteering?

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways you can boost your CV. You can help enhance the lives of others, learn new skills, open doors to employment, make new friends and gain in confidence.

Build skills and experience

Many of our sessional staff started off as volunteers with the charity and for many of them it actually helped shape their careers. Lots of our volunteers can use their hours as placement e.g. college courses, Duke of Edinburgh, University modules etc.

Who can volunteer

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life as long as you are aged 14 and above. Experience is not necessary and we will always look to provide you with as much support and advice as possible. Whatever your skill and interest we would love to hear from you. You may have an interest in music or enjoy socialising and want to help support the young people in these activities or you may have experience and skills which would help us in the office or with fundraising.

Support and training

We do not require our volunteers to have experience of working with young people with disabilities but enthusiasm and a sense of humour is desired! We offer lots of training to our regulars and we pride ourselves on the support we offer our volunteers. If you would like more information please contact Amy Millin or print, complete and return the Volunteer Form.
