Weekly Round Up – WC 29th June 2020

Posted on 6th July 2020

Hi Everyone,

We have been busy over on our Facebook page this week sharing lots of fun activities.

We started the week with a lovely idea to create a sensory story with ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’. On Tuesday we shared an activity to make a rain cloud in a jar, a lovely science activity which is lovely to watch too. We then read a story called ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ and then finished the week with a video of how to colour pasta for sensory play. On the weekend we had a fancy dress competition where everyone shared photos of them in fancy dress, there were so many fantastic photos and outfits.

This week in our Forest Friends session we had the opportunity to catch up with our friends, and then played a game of Pictionary which was great fun! In Performing Arts the group enjoyed warming up and playing games before creating a dance sequence to ‘We’ll meet again’ using ‘Tik-tok’ style movements. For Group 1’s music session the theme was colour this week. The group sang and played along with musical instruments to songs around the theme of colour, and also explored the music app ‘Keezy’. Group 2’s music group have formed a band called ‘The Forest Pulse Band’. They sang along and learnt the chorus of songs, and took turns playing instruments such as guitars and keyboards.

If you are enrolled onto Music, Forest Friends or Performing Arts and have not yet joined one of our zoom sessions but would like to please contact projects@forestpulse.co.uk and we can share the meeting information with you.
